Everyone has all of the Truths laid out in front of them. Each of us processes those Truths and compartmentalizes them. The Big 5 personality traits and personal experience are among some of the variables that cause some of Truths to seem more significant than others. This categorization process is what forms our personal biases.
These biases form our perceptions of reality. Each perception of reality is unique to the individual. Realities are developed, in part, through trial and error. First we develop our understanding of reality so that we can live with ourselves, so that we don’t feel guilty and miserable all the time. We also need an understanding that wont kill us; so that we don’t think its ok to walk onto a busy expressway. Second, we develop our understanding of reality so that we can coexist with the people around us.
